Jim's Devotional - November 3rd

For what are you thankful today?

There is probably not anyone reading this who does not have a roof over their head. Some would have a better “roof” while others have more “roof” than they need.

David gives us news about a shelter that is better than any house we could ever have. Psalm 61:3, “For You have been a shelter for me, A strong tower from the enemy.” Then in the next verse, “I will abide in Your tabernacle forever; I will trust in the shelter of Your wings. Selah.” Finally, in Psalm 143:9, “Deliver me, O LORD, from my enemies; In You I take shelter.

Today we are thankful for our homes that give us shelter but mostly we are thankful for our Loving Father who provides a covering of security and peace for us at all times.
