September 23rd

Continuing with Matthew 26:26, “And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, blessed and broke it, and
gave it to the disciples and said, “Take, eat; this is My body.”

When we receive Jesus as our Savior, God begins to reveal His plan for our lives. “And as they were
eating, Jesus...blessed...” The greatest blessing we will ever experience is to walk in the divine plan of
God for our lives.

Paul, an apostle, experienced many hardships. He also experienced many triumphs. In Acts 20:23&24,
when he was leaving the Ephesian church, he said, “except that the Holy Spirit testifies in every city,
saying that chains and tribulations await me. 24 “But none of these things move me; nor do I count my
life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord
Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.”

One of the reasons Paul was so motivated to spread the Gospel was because of the joy of living in God’s
plan for his life. Writing to young pastor Timothy, he said, “And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord who has
enabled me, because He counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry,” (1st Timothy 1:12).
