September 24th
After Jesus “took” the bread and “blessed” the bread, He “broke” the bread.
We came to Jesus with a lot of “excess baggage.” Preconceived ideas. Fleshly “me” attitudes. Yes, God
loves us just the way we are. But He loves us too much to leave us that way; He begins to “break” the old
carnal, self-opinionated, self-reliant, person. Remember, our spirits were born again but our mind
wasn’t; it needs to be renewed. Romans 12:2 NLT, “Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world,
but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think...”
Hebrews 12:27&28, “Now this, “Yet once more,” indicates the removal of those things that are being
shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain. 28 Therefore,
since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God
acceptably with reverence and godly fear.”
Let’s welcome the “shaking” and “breaking” of the Holy Spirit.
