Jim's Devotional - October 18th

October 18th

Works do enter into our life. James 2:18, “But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have
works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.” We just don’t work for our salvation; we work because we are saved.

Matthew 11:28-30, “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 “Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 “For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Jesus gives us rest, rest from our labors to gain His approval. Although His yoke is easy and His burden is light, there is a yoke and there is a burden or load; it’s just light because we are yoked with Him.
