Life has a way of humbling us. Plans fall apart, relationships shift, bodies age, and people we love disappoint us or leave us altogether. This message confronts those realities head-on, refusing to dress them up or explain them away.

Drawing from the sweeping poetry of Ecclesiastes, which reminds us that there is a season for everything under heaven, including weeping, mourning, losing, and ending, we are invited to stop pretending that faith means immunity from hardship. Instead, we are pointed toward something far more sustaining: the grace of God that meets us inside the inevitable changes of life, not around them.

Romans 8:37-39 anchors the whole conversation with the bold declaration that nothing, not death, not life, not any created thing, can separate us from the love of God. That is not a promise that life will go according to plan. It is a promise that we will never face it alone. The central invitation here is to stop gripping life so tightly and to begin trusting the grace that has always been bigger than our circumstances.
