What if the things holding us back are not out there in the world, but rooted deep inside of us? This message takes us on a journey into the interior life, examining the beliefs, wounds, and traditions we have allowed to take root in our hearts.
Some of those roots came from what others said about us. Some came from our own past failures that we cannot seem to stop seeing in the mirror, even when God sees us as white as snow. The central image is a powerful one: God reaching inside of us and pulling those false roots out, one by one, so that we can finally walk in the purpose we were created for.
Drawing from the moment Jesus declared he would tear down the temple and rebuild it in three days, we are reminded that God is not bound by how long something has stood or how deeply it has been established. Thousands of years of tradition did not stop him then, and our years of deeply held false beliefs do not stop him now.
The question this message leaves with us is both simple and profound: will we come to him and let him do the work?
